Snorkeling
One of Maui's most popular activities, and with good reason. It's easy to learn, fun for virtually everyone, and the warm waters and beautiful reefs around the island offer ecological spectacles galore - teaming tropical reef fish, sea turtles, octopus, eels, starfish and the architectural feat of the coral reefs themselves. Breathtaking!

Maui's fringing reefs are the best place to swim alongside sea turtles, but Maui's two famous neighbors hold a special thrall - Molokini and Lanai. Molokini islet is a moon-shaped volcanic cindercone in the middle of the ocean channel between Maui and the uninhabited isle of Kohoolawe. Rated one of the top dive destinations in the world, the reefs are plentiful and the visibility astounding! The island of Lanai, part of Maui County, is home to near-pristine reefs, dazzling abundance, and best of all, large and (largely) predictable pods of acrobatic spinner dolphins.

A Tip From Your Concierge
Never snorkeled before? The easiest way to learn is by taking a guided snorkel tour - flotation is provided so you can relax and concentrate, and the helpful assistance of an experienced crewmember is a huge bonus!
